At the Mission Training Center

Hello to All!
We arrived at the Mission Training Center (MTC) on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. We are apparently in the largest group of senior/couple missionaries ever to enter the MTC. The first day was orientation and alot of fun meeting other seniors off to who knows where around the world. The accommodations, cafeteria, and instructors are great. We met the Tanners who are going to the ADRIATIC Mission as well. They will be working in the mission office in Zagreb, Croatia. We also met Elder Shoemaker who lives one block from us in Richland, WA. He is headed to TEXAS, Fort Worth, see pictures below. He will be a great missionary.

We will have one week of "Preach My Gospel" training and one week of Humanitarian Service Training in the MTC. We will have language training (Serbo-Croatian) in the evenings as well. We then fly to Frankfurt, Germany on Sat., Jan 14 for 4 more days of training in the Church European Humanitarian Office. Then we fly to Vienna, Austria to meet for one day with Elder Wondra (former Croatian Mission President) who will be helping us as well. From there we fly to Belgrade, Serbia then on to Podgorica, Montenegro. On that trip if we bump into Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark somewhere along the way we will include in our next blog so stay tuned.....
