Podgorica , MONTENEGRO----February 3, 2012

We have been in Podgorica now for two weeks. It is the former Titograd of the old socialist republic of Yugoslavia. There are several nice mountain streams (cold, clear water) running through the city of about 150,000 people.
All in all it has been a pretty good two weeks. We became established in an apartment with the help of a US family here, completed all items needed to get a visa, gave out our first Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith brochure, familiarized ourselves with the city by walking most places (only getting lost once) and I jogging on Mon./Wed./Fri. at 7 am through most of the central city.
One thing we try to do to learn the language (basically non-cyrillic Serbian) is memorize a sentence or two applicable to the activity for the day, for example, if we are going to a store to shop or to a bank (we had to open bank accounts locally as part of getting a visa.)
The following pictures are from the balcony of our apartment. (And we were told it seldom snows here.)
