Humanitarian Training in Frankfurt, Germany--March 21-25, 2012

Senior missionary couples gathered from Eastern Europe and the Cape Verde Islands to Frankfurt, Germany to learn skills and share ideas in humanitarian work.  We talked about finding a local partner to work with (Red Cross, local church, etc.).  . . many inspirational stories (pictures of rescues in the massive European snow storm, a time saving mechanical potato peeler for a soup kitchen) followed by rules for record keeping.  Our fearless leaders, the Leonards, organized wonderful training involving the experienced couples, provided delicious food, an hour with a Bible scholar, a trip to the temple, and sight seeing in Germany.  It was time well spent.

One thought shared:  The quality of our relationships governs our effectiveness . . . our approachability, availability, openness, trust.
