April 4, 2013--Puppet Show

Today we attended the Roma kindergarten for the last time.  It was a puppet show about healthy hygiene habits.
We began with refreshments.

Before the show Craig presented a Boy Scout hat and patches (from an L.D.S. Encampment held in 2000 in Idaho) to Mensut, the Red Cross Director of the Roma refugee camp.  Mensut has been in scouts since 1958.  He was the President of the Boy Scouts in 1982-83.  (Marta on the left is our Red Cross translator.)

The show begins. . .

L.D.S. Charities provides puppets, a stage and a sound track to teach good health habits.  The kindergarten children learned about washing their hands.  There are shows for older children and families about smoking, alchohol, etc.  The Montenegro Red Cross will be able to use this for many groups.

  1. Those puppets will be a great resource. Our local library does lots of little puppet shows with similar looking puppets and my kids are always glued. Very neat.

  2. Puppets! What a perfect project for you to be involved in Mom. I agree with Wendi, my kids have always loved the library puppet shows. Very cute. Also nice story about Mensut.
